In search of what is real.
As a teenager, actually rather camera-shy, football-obsessed, and a movie junkie, David rediscovered the world in his early twenties:
After two surgeries that ruled out sports for an extended period – and in turn triggered a decent-sized emotional crisis – David realized: he didn't just want to watch adventures in movies, he wanted to live them! Jumping out of planes, steering boats, driving tanks, riding horses, martial arts, climbing, surfing – rock under the fingers, sand between the toes.
But the more he experienced, the clearer something else became to him:
Experiences fade, impressions wane… but pictures stop time, they bring emotions back to life.
From this grew a second, equally unexpected fascination – for life in front of the camera.
Talked into competing in the Mister Switzerland pageant by friends, David took part in the qualifiers. He kept advancing – but then chose to step back at 12th place, because in that moment the TV show somehow just wasn't his world after all. Landing modeling contracts, however, was practically a given and happened almost by itself – and so began his work on commercials for various smaller and larger companies.
Highly versatile, David has since worked across a wide range of industries as a commercial and fashion model for various companies – always with great curiosity and enjoyment at every shoot. At first simply nervous and highly focused, he soon found ease and confidence in front of the camera as well. He was able to expand his modeling skills through numerous projects with renowned photographers, artistic collaborations, and through work alongside professional, more experienced models.
In the process, he developed a particular feel for natural, authentic posing – the kind that mostly doesn't look like posing at all. Changing a detail with every click makes the photographer's job significantly easier. And being fully connected to one's own body often produces more expressive images than even the most precise outside instructions ever could.
Not long after, runway bookings came into the mix, something David is always fired up for. Thanks to his self-employment, he's also extremely flexible time-wise – and as long as that stays true: the show must go on!

Als Teenager eigentlich eher kamerascheu, fussballverrückt und ein Movie-Junkie, entdeckte David Anfang 20 jedoch die Welt neu:
Nach zwei OPs, die längere Zeit keinen Sport mehr erlaubten - und dadurch eine mittelgrosse emotionale Krise auslösten - realisierte David: Er will die Abenteuer nicht nur in Filmen sehen, sondern sie erleben! Aus Flugzeugen springen, Boote steuern. Panzer fahren. Pferde reiten, Kampfsport. Klettern, Surfen - Fels in den Fingern, Sand zwischen den Zehen.
Doch je mehr er erlebte, desto klarer wurde ihm auch etwas anderes:
Erlebtes verblasst, Eindrücke schwinden… aber Bilder halten die Zeit auf, sie frischen Emotionen wieder auf.
Daraus entstand die zweite, ebenso unerwartete Faszination – die für das Leben vor der Kamera.
Von Freunden zur Teilnahme an den Mister Schweiz Wahlen überredet, nahm David an den Qualifikationen teil. Er kam immer weiter - stieg dann aber auf Platz 12 aus, weil die TV-Show in diesem Moment irgendwie doch nicht seine Welt war. Modelverträge abzuschliessen lag jedoch auf der Hand und ging praktisch von alleine - und schon ging es los mit Commercials für diverse kleinere und grössere Unternehmen.
Äusserst wandelbar, war David schon in den unterschiedlichsten Branchen als Commercial- und Fashion-Model für Firmen tätig - mmer mit viel Neugier und Freude an jedem Shooting. Anfangs einfach nur aufgeregt und hochkonzentriert, bald aber auch mit viel Leichtigkeit vor der Kamera. Seine Model-Skills konnte er durch zahlreiche Arbeiten für renommierte Fotografen, künstlerische Projekte und in Zusammenarbeit mit professionellen älteren Models ausbauen.
Dabei entwickelte er ein besonderes Gespür für natürliches, authentisches Posing, das meistens gar nicht wie Posing aussehen soll. Mit jedem Klick ein Detail zu verändern, erleichtert den Fotografen die Arbeit ungemein. Und ganz mit dem eigenen Körper verbunden zu sein, bringt oft ausdrucksstärkere Bilder hervor, als es die genausten Instruktionen von aussen je könnten.
Wenig später kamen dann Laufsteg-Aufträge hinzu, für welche David jederzeit Feuer & Flamme ist. Dank seiner Selbständigkeit ist er auch zeitlich äusserst flexibel - und solange das so bleibt: The Show must go on!
